2016 Smoothie Journey

I’m gonna start a ‘Smoothie Journey’ as I discover new recipes. Some might be The Bomb and others epic fails but I hope you will join me by sharing your thoughts on the ingredients and your likes & dislikes. 

1/8 cup coconut water & ginger juice

1/4 cup filtered water

1/2 banana

1 carrot

1 celery stalk

1 big handful baby spinach

1 scoop protein powder

1 Tbsp Gaia Restore Tumeric Boost

Pinch Celtic sea salt

Crushed ice

Blend & enjoy just like I’m enjoying here!!

  2. This looks delicious. Could you suggest a replacement for the ginger juice? I have tried to overcome my distaste for Ginger, and it is tenacious.
    I am thinking more coconut water? Also please recommend a protein powder. I bought two vegan containers of protein powder at Costco, and then got a recall notice.

    • Hey there Sissy! To replace ginger juice you could go with any other liquid from coconut water to filtered water to a favorite juice. I love the GJ because of it’s immune building & anti-inflammatory powers! Maybe you could try adding just a little GJ instead of the full amount?
      Currently I’m using VegaOne All In One Nutritional Shake – Natural. If you’re open to other foods for extra protein, you could think about Almond Butter, Unsweetened Almond Milk and Coconut Milk.
